About Skaneateles Dental Associates
Our office is a general practice delivering quality care in all phases of dentistry. The practice is located in Skaneateles, New York, a village in the Finger Lakes region of Central New York, near Syracuse. It is a most unique setting offering the very best quality lifestyle, recreation, and culture.
The practice, established in 1981 by Dr. John J. Turner, is a quality oriented fee-for-service partnership. Dr. Rebecca G. Anderson joined the practice in 2003 and has subsequently become a partner of Skaneateles Dental Associates. In 2010 Dr. Joshua M. Souweine joined the practice and in 2015 he and Dr. Anderson became partners.
Dr. Britton Weber is our newest welcome addition. She has been practicing with us since August 2020. The office is conveniently located on Route 20 just west of the Village of Skaneateles.
Dr.Rebecca Anderson, D.D.S.
Dr. Rebecca Anderson is a native of Western New York. Growing up on the outskirts of Lockport, she learned the value of hard work at a young age. When she was 14 she began employment at a local farm. Her love of the outdoors led her into landscape design and maintenance in addition to farm work, which she continued through Dental school. To this day her passion for landscaping and gardening remains strong. She also enjoys camping, hiking, and kayaking with her friends and family.
Dr. Anderson received a Bachelor of Science degree and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from the University of Buffalo. She then continued her education and graduated magna cum laude with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Buffalo. She then moved to Rochester, NY where she completed her residency at Eastman Dental Center.
Dr. Anderson proudly joined Skaneateles Dental Associates in July, 2003. She is an active member of Spear Education and Study Club in an effort to deliver the highest quality and most up to date dentistry possible. Dr. Anderson is dedicated to providing a positive patient experience and always strives to achieve excellence in all aspects of dental care.
Dr.Joshua M. Souweine, D.D.S
Dr. Joshua M. Souweine graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After finishing an additional year of education at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Dr. Souweine completed his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Souweine, a native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, realized that he liked Upstate New York so much he decided to call it home in early 2006. After working at several private practices in the Rochester area, he has been with Skaneateles Dental Associates since November 2010.
An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Souweine has a sincere love of nature and photography. Some of his photographs are framed and displayed on the walls of the office.
He also has assisted at clinics in the Geneva, Sodus, and Brockport areas that focus their efforts on the under-served and migrant populations. Dr. Souweine is also active in “Dentistry For All”, which is an international group that travels to Central America to perform dental work to areas that don’t have access to dental care.
In 2015 Dr. Souweine became partners with Dr. Anderson. Since then they have expanded the office keeping true to the ideals that make Skaneateles Dental Associates such a special place.

Dr.Britton Weber, DMD
Dr. Britton L. Weber graduated from St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then graduated summa cum laude from Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine and went on to complete a GPR residency at Upstate Hospital.
Dr. Weber is a native of Skaneateles and is very excited to be returning home to practice in her hometown. Dr. Weber originally shadowed Dr. Anderson while she was still in high school and fell in love with the office and its overall atmosphere.
In her free time, Dr. Weber loves to spend as much time as possible outdoors. She enjoys skiing, hiking (especially the high peaks), water skiing, tubing, camping, and anything that has to do with her pup Tucker. She also loves traveling and photography.
During dental school, Dr. Weber was able to combine her loves of dentistry and travel by participating in various dental missions to El Salvador and Peru. Her passion for traveling started when she spent a semester of college abroad in Kenya. She hopes to continue to combine these passions and see as much of the world as she can.
Dr. Weber and the staff at Skaneateles Dental Associates strive to provide the best care possible and an optimal patient experience. She will use all available opportunities to learn the latest and greatest that dentistry has to offer and will always strive for excellence.
Dr.Gabrielle Moran, D.D.S
Dr. Gabrielle Moran is originally from Johnson City, NY near Binghamton in the Southern Tier. She has always loved science and healthcare and has wanted to be a dentist for as long as she can remember.
Staying close to home, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Binghamton University. After completing her undergraduate education, Dr. Moran attended the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She then went on to complete a one-year General Practice Residency program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY which focused on the link between oral health and overall health.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Moran loves skiing, hiking, and exploring all that Upstate NY has to offer with her husband and dog.
Dr. Moran is honored and excited to be joining such an exceptional group at Skaneateles Dental Associates and is looking forward to providing the highest standard of care that is personalized to each one of her patients to meet their individual needs.
